The Importance Of Disclosure (Part 1)
You will hear me talk more about disclosure when we talk about sponsors, but I wanted to touch on the importance of disclosure itself before we move on.
If you are going to crowdfund a project, your audience and potential contributors should know your plans.
So Here's Ours:
- As mentioned in numerous other places, Earth's Temporary Solution is not a not-for-profit.
- ETS is an LLC that was formed in the State Of New York back in October of 2002.
- We are using the profits from your Great Wall Of Twitter purchases to fund A Million High Fives.
- The Great Wall Of Twitter (so far) only has one sponsor, and that is our media sponsor: Mashable.com. Mashable will have it's logo on the front of the card.
Transparency and honesty are critical to the success of a crowdfunding project, so make sure you are clearly outlining your project for your audience and informing them of your progress.
